The firm-shell case that is offered for Bear Meadow Appalachian Dulcimers is made for us by Blue Heron case manufacturers.

These cases are made of Cordura exterior and black rip-stop nylon interior, with a close-cell foam. Closed-cell foam has the property that you cannot squeeze it completely closed (hence the term "firm-shell" to distinguish it from cases made from spongy rubber foam). These cases will protect your dulcimer against knocks, drops, and astonishing acts of negligence or accident. They are a wonderfully lightweight way to carry your Bear Meadow Appalachian Dulcimer
